Cette intervention pr\u00e9sente un risque qui conduit \u00e0 la perte de 60 f\u0153tus par ann\u00e9e en raison des complications possibles.<\/p>\n<p>Les progr\u00e8s de la g\u00e9nomique ont men\u00e9 \u00e0 la mise au point d\u2019un test pr\u00e9natal non invasif (TPNI) qui peut d\u00e9pister la trisomie 21 et deux autres maladies g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques par l\u2019analyse de fragments de l\u2019ADN du f\u0153tus pr\u00e9sents dans le sang maternel. \u00ab Ce serait bien que les femmes disposent du test le plus s\u00fbr possible, offrant le meilleur rendement et le risque le plus faible pour les grossesses \u00bb, dit D<sup>re<\/sup>\u00a0Sylvie Langlois, g\u00e9n\u00e9ticienne m\u00e9dicale \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de la Colombie-Britannique et codirectrice du projet PEGASE (Personnalisation par la g\u00e9nomique du d\u00e9pistage des aneuplo\u00efdies dans le sang maternel). \u00ab C\u2019est ce que le TPNI pourrait faire. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>En plus de la comparaison de l\u2019exactitude et du rapport co\u00fbt-efficacit\u00e9 de deux m\u00e9thodes diff\u00e9rentes d\u2019analyse de l\u2019ADN, PEGASE examine les aspects \u00e9thiques, l\u00e9gaux et sociaux de cette recherche, et les probl\u00e8mes \u00e9ventuels de mise en \u0153uvre pour les professionnels de la sant\u00e9. Il est important de fournir aux m\u00e9decins, aux patientes et aux d\u00e9cideurs l\u2019information dont ils ont besoin pour discuter des avantages et des inconv\u00e9nients du TPNI, selon le directeur de projet Fran\u00e7ois Rousseau, biochimiste m\u00e9dical \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 Laval. Actuellement, le TPNI n\u2019est financ\u00e9 par les fonds publics que dans certaines circonstances seulement.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Nous devons nous assurer que notre recherche donne \u00e0 ses utilisateurs en aval les faits probants et les outils de haute qualit\u00e9 dont ils ont besoin, dit M.
