Elle fournit les donn\u00e9es n\u00e9cessaires \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9laboration rapide de politiques publiques et \u00e0 la prise de d\u00e9cisions fond\u00e9es sur des preuves, et elle nous aide \u00e0 surveiller la perte de biodiversit\u00e9, \u00e0 d\u00e9pister les agents pathog\u00e8nes responsables de maladies et de la r\u00e9sistance aux antimicrobiens, et \u00e0 soutenir les enqu\u00eates scientifiques m\u00e9dico-l\u00e9gales.<\/p><p><em>\u00ab\u00a0Pendant la pand\u00e9mie de COVID-19, les Canadiens et les Canadiennes ont pu voir la surveillance de l\u2019ADNe en action comme outil permettant de surveiller les niveaux du virus SARS-Cov-2 dans les eaux us\u00e9es des communaut\u00e9s. G\u00e9nome Canada investit dans ces nouveaux projets afin de renforcer les capacit\u00e9s de pr\u00e9paration aux futures pand\u00e9mies et de surveillance continue de la sant\u00e9 publique et de protection de l&rsquo;environnement dans notre pays\u00a0\u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Rob Annan, pr\u00e9sident et chef de la direction de G\u00e9nome Canada. <\/em><\/p><p><em>\u00ab Ce programme permettra \u00e9galement de renforcer les capacit\u00e9s des communaut\u00e9s nordiques, rurales, \u00e9loign\u00e9es et autochtones qui souhaitent utiliser les outils de surveillance de l&rsquo;ADNe pour la surveillance des sources et des eaux us\u00e9es, ainsi que pour la surveillance de l&rsquo;environnement \u00bb, a ajout\u00e9 M.
