Le Network Biology Collaborative Centre (NBCC) a pour objet de fournir aux chercheurs canadiens une connaissance fonctionnelle de la fa\u00e7on dont les produits g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques transmettent l\u2019information biologique et ce qui se produit dans la maladie lorsque ces produits g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques sont alt\u00e9r\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>Le NBCC se compose de deux installations d\u2019avant-garde int\u00e9gr\u00e9es. La premi\u00e8re, Proteomics, utilise les spectrom\u00e8tres de masse pour mesurer avec pr\u00e9cision les \u00ab&nbsp;empreintes&nbsp;\u00bb de fragments prot\u00e9iques afin d\u2019identifier quelles prot\u00e9ines s\u2019assemblent en sous-structures complexes pour former des sous-structures cellulaires et propager des signaux dans une cellule. Ce type d\u2019analyse aide les chercheurs \u00e0 comprendre comment ces complexes prot\u00e9iques s\u2019assemblent en r\u00e9seaux de signalisation et comment ces derniers cessent de se r\u00e9guler pour se transformer en maladies comme le cancer.<\/p>\n<p>La deuxi\u00e8me, l\u2019installation SMART (Simple Modular Assay and Robotic Technology) a \u00e9t\u00e9 l\u2019un des premiers centres de criblage \u00e0 haut rendement cr\u00e9\u00e9s au Canada. SMART utilise des plateformes robotiques et des imageurs cellulaires automatis\u00e9s pour caract\u00e9riser ou manipuler des g\u00e8nes (ou les prot\u00e9ines qu\u2019ils codent) ou les deux par des moyens g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques ou chimiques afin d\u2019identifier ceux qui interviennent dans le d\u00e9clenchement et la progression de la maladie. Le NBCC n\u2019offre pas seulement ses nombreuses comp\u00e9tences sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9es pour la conception et l\u2019application de strat\u00e9gies de criblage perfectionn\u00e9es, mais aussi sa capacit\u00e9 d\u2019int\u00e9grer ces cribles les uns aux autres pour en tirer des indications biologiques. Il travaille en \u00e9troite collaboration avec ses clients \u00e0 toutes les \u00e9tapes pour guider la conception et la mise en \u0153uvre de l\u2019\u00e9tude, s\u2019assurer d\u2019une pr\u00e9paration appropri\u00e9e des \u00e9chantillons et fournir un examen et une analyse solides des donn\u00e9es.
