Ces complexit\u00e9s sont d\u00e9concertantes dans de nombreuses \u00e9tudes sur le fondement de la pr\u00e9disposition h\u00e9r\u00e9ditaire \u00e0 des maladies chez les humains. Pour identifier des g\u00e8nes qui r\u00e9gulent des traits complexes et r\u00e9tr\u00e9cir le champ de recherche des g\u00e8nes candidats, nous avons utilis\u00e9 une approche appel\u00e9e \u00ab homologie souris-humain \u00bb, selon laquelle l\u2019information g\u00e9n\u00e9tique fournie par les mod\u00e8les murins est appliqu\u00e9e \u00e0 la recherche de g\u00e8nes candidats chez les humains. Notre \u00e9quipe a propos\u00e9 d\u2019utiliser les souches cong\u00e9niques recombinantes pour diss\u00e9quer des traits complexes, acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer la d\u00e9couverte de cibles et en accro\u00eetre l\u2019ampleur, en collaboration avec des \u00e9tablissements universitaires et des chercheurs. Le projet a r\u00e9uni un r\u00e9seau de chercheurs canadiens et de partenaires industriels qui ont cherch\u00e9 \u00e0 identifier de nouvelles cibles de traitement des maladies humaines courantes.<\/p>\n<p>La synergie entre les diff\u00e9rents groupes de recherche a contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 garder au Canada du personnel hautement qualifi\u00e9 et des stagiaires. Nos r\u00e9sultats pourraient am\u00e9liorer l\u2019acc\u00e8s \u00e0 des diagnostics h\u00e2tifs et mener \u00e0 la mise au point de nouveaux traitements de maladies humaines courantes. M\u00eame si la plupart des projets qui utilisent la plateforme des souches cong\u00e9niques recombinantes en sont encore aux premiers stades, quelques uns commencent \u00e0 s\u2019orienter vers des applications directes. Par exemple, une \u00e9quipe a d\u00e9montr\u00e9 qu\u2019il est possible de r\u00e9duire la r\u00e9plication pr\u00e9coce des parasites du paludisme par l\u2019administration d\u2019aminoforme.<\/p>\n<p>Cette d\u00e9couverte, qui d\u00e9coule directement d\u2019une d\u00e9couverte de g\u00e8nes de souris de souches cong\u00e9niques recombinantes, pourrait avoir d\u2019importantes r\u00e9percussions sur la pr\u00e9vention et le traitement de l\u2019une des maladies les plus mortelles dans le monde; son potentiel commercial fait actuellement l\u2019objet d\u2019examen. Une autre \u00e9quipe travaille en outre \u00e0 la mise au point d\u2019un traitement pour la d\u00e9ficience grave de pyruvate-kinase chez les humains, \u00e0 l\u2019aide de l\u2019une de nos souches comme mod\u00e8le murin.<\/p>\n<p>Nous pr\u00e9voyons que la plateforme de souches cong\u00e9niques recombinantes continuera de mener \u00e0 d\u2019autres d\u00e9couvertes qui, \u00e0 leur tour, m\u00e8neront \u00e0 des applications pour le diagnostic et le traitement de maladies humaines courantes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Description du projet La plupart des maladies humaines sont multifactorielles et complexes sur le plan g\u00e9n\u00e9tique.
