On s\u2019efforce actuellement de r\u00e9duire la production des polluants industriels et agricoles \u00e0 leur source, mais cela ne r\u00e9sout pas le probl\u00e8me des anciens sites immenses contenant des traces de m\u00e9taux qui peuvent rester dans le sol pendant des mill\u00e9naires.<\/p>\n<p>G\u00e9nome Canada finance des travaux de recherche sur la phytorem\u00e9diation \u2013 une nouvelle biotechnologie prometteuse qui utilise les plantes pour d\u00e9polluer le sol. Une partie de la recherche consistera \u00e0 s\u00e9quencer le g\u00e9nome de microbes choisis qui sont les plus efficaces dans la d\u00e9toxication du sol, et d\u2019importantes nouvelles donn\u00e9es deviendront du domaine public.<\/p>\n<p>Les services d\u2019assainissement repr\u00e9sentent un march\u00e9 de plus de 30 milliards de dollars au Canada et ce secteur a pris de l\u2019expansion tous les ans au cours des dix derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es. Le projet procurera donc d\u2019importants avantages \u00e9conomiques au Canada, assainira le sol et l\u2019environnement. L\u2019\u00e9quipe du projet cr\u00e9era \u00e9galement une m\u00e9thodologie \u00e9tape par \u00e9tape utile dans les \u00e9valuations de la viabilit\u00e9 de la remise en \u00e9tat de sites, notamment une trousse \u00e0 outils pour les conseils d\u2019administration et des lignes directrices juridiques \u00e0 l\u2019intention des gouvernements et des entreprises.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Assainissement des sites pollu\u00e9s.
