Leur efficacit\u00e9 diminue cependant en raison de l\u2019augmentation de la r\u00e9sistance antimicrobienne (RAM). Il est de plus en plus urgent d\u2019en savoir plus sur la RAM afin de mieux comprendre ses cons\u00e9quences et de surveiller sa pr\u00e9sence dans l\u2019environnement, dans l\u2019industrie agroalimentaire, chez les patients et \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle des populations. Il est indispensable de pouvoir analyser les g\u00e9nomes de microorganismes r\u00e9sistants, mais cette analyse co\u00fbte cher et prend beaucoup de temps. La m\u00e9tag\u00e9nomique permet le profilage g\u00e9n\u00e9tique des microbes en tant que communaut\u00e9, mais les ensembles de donn\u00e9es sont \u00e9normes et contiennent un grand nombre de donn\u00e9es peu pertinentes. Il n\u2019existe pas, \u00e0 l\u2019heure actuelle, de logiciel con\u00e7u sp\u00e9cifiquement pour pr\u00e9dire directement les profils RAM \u00e0 partir de donn\u00e9es m\u00e9tag\u00e9nomiques, ce qui permettrait de profiler la RAM plus rapidement et faciliterait l\u2019\u00e9tablissement des priorit\u00e9s entre des g\u00e8nes candidats pour des recherches plus approfondies.<\/p>\n<p>Robert Beiko, Ph.\u00a0D., de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 Dalhousie, Andrew G.
