L&rsquo;efficacit\u00e9 des spectrom\u00e8tres est toutefois frein\u00e9e par l&rsquo;incroyable complexit\u00e9 des \u00e9chantillons qui limite l&rsquo;exhaustivit\u00e9 et la gamme dynamique des analyses de spectrom\u00e9trie de masse.<\/p>\n<p>Dans le cadre de leurs r\u00e9cents travaux, Thermo Fisher Scientific et le laboratoire de Pierre\u00a0Thibault de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al ont d\u00e9couvert une fa\u00e7on de surmonter ces limites en associant une nouvelle forme de mobilit\u00e9 ionique \u00e0 la spectrom\u00e9trie de masse. Ils se servent maintenant de ces r\u00e9sultats pour mettre au point un nouvel appareil capable de r\u00e9v\u00e9ler des mutations subtiles dans les cellules canc\u00e9reuses des patients, une application qui serait pr\u00e9cieuse dans le domaine de l&rsquo;immunoth\u00e9rapie anticanc\u00e9reuse.<\/p>\n<p>Cette nouvelle technologie pourrait r\u00e9volutionner la mani\u00e8re de d\u00e9couvrir et de cibler les biomarqueurs li\u00e9s aux maladies \u00e0 partir de cellules canc\u00e9reuses humaines, menant ainsi \u00e0 la cr\u00e9ation de droits de propri\u00e9t\u00e9 intellectuelle susceptibles de g\u00e9n\u00e9rer des revenus li\u00e9s aux licences, ainsi qu&rsquo;\u00e0 l&rsquo;augmentation des ventes de ce type d&rsquo;analyse.
