NanoString Technologies est, quant \u00e0 elle, un chef de file dans la conception d\u2019outils pour des laboratoires qui peuvent mettre au point des tests. Leurs forces respectives sont maintenant r\u00e9unies pour mettre au point de nouveaux outils de diagnostic du cancer p\u00e9diatrique qui fourniront des renseignements indispensables d\u2019une mani\u00e8re cibl\u00e9e, \u00e9conomique et opportune. Dirig\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019H\u00f4pital pour enfants malades par la D<sup>re<\/sup>\u00a0Cynthia Hawkins et John Racher, en partenariat avec NanoString Technologies, l\u2019\u00e9quipe se concentrera initialement sur les gliomes de bas grade (tumeurs c\u00e9r\u00e9brales), la leuc\u00e9mie et le sarcome des tissus mous pour lesquels il n\u2019existe actuellement aucun test complet. Ult\u00e9rieurement, ces tests pourront \u00eatre \u00e9largis aux cancers chez les adultes.<\/p>\n<p>D\u2019ici trois \u00e0 cinq ans, les travaux de l\u2019\u00e9quipe m\u00e8neront \u00e0 des tests diagnostiques commercialisables pour les cancers p\u00e9diatriques. Ces r\u00e9sultats am\u00e9lioreront la dur\u00e9e de la survie et la qualit\u00e9 de vie des enfants atteints de cancer, r\u00e9duiront les co\u00fbts en soins de sant\u00e9 et produiront des recettes par suite de l\u2019octroi de licences que les partenaires se partageront.
