Selon les \u00e9tudes, le microbiome intestinal peut influencer des troubles li\u00e9s \u00e0 la digestion tels que le syndrome de l\u2019intestin irritable et la maladie inflammatoire chronique de l\u2019intestin (MICI), de m\u00eame que de nombreuses autres maladies dont les maladies cardiovasculaires, l\u2019ob\u00e9sit\u00e9 et le syndrome m\u00e9tabolique, voire la sant\u00e9 c\u00e9r\u00e9brale. Le microbiome intestinal peut \u00e9galement influencer la r\u00e9action de l\u2019organisme aux m\u00e9dicaments, ce qui en fait un facteur important dans la mise au point des m\u00e9dicaments. Ces derniers, \u00e0 leur tour, peuvent influencer le microbiome intestinal, et l\u2019on conna\u00eet peu les cons\u00e9quences de cette influence.<\/p>\n<p>Jusqu\u2019\u00e0 maintenant, il n\u2019existe aucune technologie pour \u00e9valuer les interactions des m\u00e9dicaments et du microbiome. M.\u00a0Daniel Figeys, Ph.\u00a0D., et Alain Stintzi, Ph.\u00a0D., de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 d\u2019Ottawa, dirigent une \u00e9quipe qui met au point une analyse qui permettra le criblage rapide des microbiomes humains en pr\u00e9sence et en absence de m\u00e9dicaments. Ils mettront \u00e0 l\u2019essai cette analyse pour un m\u00e9dicament qui traite la MICI afin de mieux conna\u00eetre comment les m\u00e9dicaments influencent le microbiome et vice versa. L\u2019\u00e9quipe mettra \u00e9galement au point un programme g\u00e9n\u00e9matique qui combinera et analysera ces r\u00e9sultats afin de mieux pr\u00e9voir l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 des m\u00e9dicaments et les r\u00e9sultats cliniques. En combinant les technologies \u00ab\u00a0m\u00e9ta-omiques\u00a0\u00bb puissantes, cette analyse \u00e0 haut rendement sera format\u00e9e pour examiner simultan\u00e9ment plusieurs microbiomes intestinaux en fonction de m\u00e9dicaments choisis. Elle comprendra une trousse dot\u00e9e de tous les \u00e9l\u00e9ments n\u00e9cessaires \u00e0 l\u2019ex\u00e9cution de l\u2019analyse, dont des donn\u00e9es sur le microbiome humain de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence en m\u00e9taprot\u00e9omique.<\/p>\n<p>Le produit, appel\u00e9 RapidAIM, pourrait transformer la mise au point de produits pharmaceutiques et de biotechnologies de m\u00eame que le domaine de la microbiologie, gr\u00e2ce au criblage rapide des m\u00e9dicaments candidats en fonction du microbiome avant que les m\u00e9dicaments ne soient commercialis\u00e9s ou l\u2019analyse des m\u00e9dicaments actuels pour en d\u00e9terminer les effets n\u00e9fastes possibles sur le microbiome.
