Cette cellule unique se diff\u00e9rencie toutefois en milliards de cellules, dont chacune a un r\u00f4le particulier \u00e0 jouer, que ce soit pour lutter contre les infections, transmettre des messages nerveux, servir de protection contre l\u2019environnement ou toute autre fonction dans l\u2019organisme. Pour remplir son r\u00f4le, chaque cellule doit organiser ses composantes internes de fa\u00e7on bien pr\u00e9cise. Lorsque cette organisation est bonne, le corps humain fonctionne normalement. En revanche, une organisation d\u00e9faillante peut favoriser l\u2019apparition de maladies, comme des troubles neuromusculaires ou des cancers.<\/p>\n<p>On peut comparer cette organisation des cellules \u00e0 la distribution du courrier. Tout comme les codes postaux permettent aux bureaux de poste d\u2019envoyer le courrier au bon endroit, il existe des \u00ab\u00a0codes postaux\u00a0\u00bb propres aux constituants cellulaires qui les aident \u00e0 se rendre \u00e0 la bonne destination. La plupart des \u00e9tudes effectu\u00e9es sur ce processus d\u2019organisation concernent le r\u00f4le des prot\u00e9ines. Dans cette \u00e9tude, \u00c9ric\u00a0L\u00e9cuyer, Ph. D., et son \u00e9quipe se penchent sur une autre classe de mol\u00e9cules, les acides ribonucl\u00e9iques, ou ARN. L\u2019\u00e9quipe a d\u00e9j\u00e0 d\u00e9couvert que les mol\u00e9cules d\u2019ARN semblent jouer un r\u00f4le majeur dans l\u2019organisation cellulaire. Elle va d\u00e9sormais tenter d\u2019identifier les \u00ab\u00a0codes postaux\u00a0\u00bb pr\u00e9sents dans diff\u00e9rents types de mol\u00e9cules d\u2019ARN qui les transportent \u00e0 divers endroits de la cellule.<\/p>\n<p>Les connaissances qui en d\u00e9couleront leur permettront d\u2019utiliser ces mol\u00e9cules d\u2019ARN pour manipuler le comportement cellulaire et mettre au point des traitements innovants contre de nombreuses maladies li\u00e9es \u00e0 des d\u00e9faillances de l\u2019organisation cellulaire, notamment certains troubles g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques pour lesquels il n\u2019existe actuellement aucun traitement.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Projet de Phase 1 Chaque \u00eatre humain se d\u00e9veloppe \u00e0 partir d\u2019une seule cellule.
