En fait, ces derni\u00e8res contr\u00f4lent toutes les fonctions de chaque cellule de notre corps. Elles forment une part importante de la peau, des muscles, des organes, des glandes et des fluides corporels. Tout en effectuant des fonctions essentielles de notre corps, les prot\u00e9ines n\u2019agissent jamais seules\u00a0: elles interagissent plut\u00f4t avec de nombreuses autres prot\u00e9ines. Ces \u00ab\u00a0contacts entre prot\u00e9ines\u00a0\u00bb sont appel\u00e9s interactions prot\u00e9ine-prot\u00e9ine\u00a0(IPP). Compte tenu des centaines de milliers de prot\u00e9ines dans nos corps et de leurs interactions complexes, le gain ou la perte d\u2019IPP peut \u00eatre l\u2019\u00e9l\u00e9ment d\u00e9clencheur d\u2019une maladie.<\/p>\n<p>Igor Stagljar, Ph.\u00a0D., de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Toronto dirige une \u00e9quipe qui \u00e9laborera et mettra en \u0153uvre une nouvelle technologie de rupture en g\u00e9nomique qui peut d\u00e9tecter et surveiller les IPP dans les cellules humaines, peu importe la partie de la cellule dans laquelle se trouve une prot\u00e9ine. Cette technologie peut \u00eatre utilis\u00e9e pour reconna\u00eetre des prot\u00e9ines nouvelles comme \u00e9l\u00e9ments de nombreux processus cellulaires essentiels, ce qui m\u00e8nera \u00e0 une meilleure compr\u00e9hension du r\u00f4le de prot\u00e9ines sp\u00e9cifiques dans nos cellules.
