En outre, les antibiotiques peuvent contaminer l\u2019environnement, entra\u00eenant une r\u00e9sistance aux antibiotiques. Jusqu\u2019\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent, ces probl\u00e8mes \u00e9taient jug\u00e9s comme \u00e9tant une cons\u00e9quence in\u00e9vitable de la fa\u00e7on dont les m\u00e9dicaments sont fabriqu\u00e9s et administr\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>Michael\u00a0Tyers de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al, et Gerard\u00a0Wright, de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 McMaster, proposent une approche novatrice au probl\u00e8me. Dans le cadre d\u2019une initiative commune, leurs \u00e9quipes respectives pr\u00e9voient cr\u00e9er une micro-usine et un syst\u00e8me de lib\u00e9ration cellulaires qui permettront de surmonter les d\u00e9fis associ\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019emploi des m\u00e9dicaments et des antibiotiques, transformant de fa\u00e7on radicale la fa\u00e7on dont ceux-ci sont utilis\u00e9s en sant\u00e9 humaine et en agriculture. Ils se sont donn\u00e9 pour objectif de concevoir une levure non toxique qui sera biocompatible avec le tractus gastro-intestinal. Cette levure sera en mesure de produire n\u2019importe quel agent bioactif voulu, comme un anticorps de synth\u00e8se capable de neutraliser une toxine bact\u00e9rienne, et comportera un interrupteur de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 int\u00e9gr\u00e9 qui assurera son \u00e9limination rapide au moment voulu. L\u2019introduction de la levure dans l\u2019organisme du patient humain ou de l\u2019animal engendrera la production de l\u2019agent biologique, court-circuitant ainsi les \u00e9tapes de fabrication au moyen de proc\u00e9d\u00e9s chimiques, d\u2019entreposage et d\u2019acheminement au patient. L\u2019agent biologique sera produit localement dans la micro-usine cellulaire, \u00e9liminant les co\u00fbts li\u00e9s \u00e0 la fabrication classique. La quantit\u00e9 d\u2019antibiotique produite et lib\u00e9r\u00e9e localement dans l\u2019intestin sera beaucoup plus faible que la quantit\u00e9 g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement n\u00e9cessaire pour le traitement par voie g\u00e9n\u00e9rale, ce qui contribuera \u00e0 r\u00e9duire la contamination environnementale \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle.<\/p>\n<p>La plateforme que Tyers et Wright s\u2019appr\u00eatent \u00e0 mettre au point a le potentiel de transformer d\u2019abord l\u2019emploi des antibiotiques dans le traitement des infections gastro-intestinales courantes, puis de pratiquement tout m\u00e9dicament qui pourra \u00eatre synth\u00e9tis\u00e9 par voie biologique et administr\u00e9 par l\u2019interm\u00e9diaire du tractus gastro-intestinal.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Projet de Phase 1 Les antibiotiques, les m\u00e9dicaments et les agents biologiques sont essentiels pour lutter contre les maladies et les infections.
