Pourtant, m\u00eame si la s\u00e9quence d\u2019un g\u00e9nome donne des indices importants sur l\u2019histoire et les caract\u00e9ristiques d\u2019un organisme, les donn\u00e9es produites par les technologies actuelles de s\u00e9quen\u00e7age ne viennent pas dans une forme facile \u00e0 interpr\u00e9ter. Les r\u00e9sultats sont souvent produits en petits fragments, un peu comme les mots ou les expressions qui forment une recette ou description plus significative, mais confuse. De plus, les d\u00e9finitions d\u2019un grand nombre de mots et d\u2019expressions que l\u2019on trouve dans l\u2019information sur les s\u00e9quences d\u2019ADN souvent ne sont pas claires. Les g\u00e9nomes, comme les recettes, sont plus faciles \u00e0 comprendre s\u2019ils sont \u00e9crits dans un langage familier, pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s dans un ordre logique et accompagn\u00e9s d\u2019images utiles.<\/p>\n<p>De nombreux chercheurs ont aujourd\u2019hui de la difficult\u00e9 \u00e0 traiter leurs donn\u00e9es de s\u00e9quen\u00e7age en une forme qui convient \u00e0 leurs applications de recherche et se tournent vers les bio-informaticiens pour trouver de l\u2019aide. Ce recours \u00e0 d\u2019autres est toutefois inefficace, en particulier dans le domaine de la g\u00e9nomique microbienne pour lequel il existe peu de bio-informaticiens chevronn\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>Paul Stothard, Ph. D., de l\u2019Agence de la sant\u00e9 publique du Canada supervisent la mise au point de Proksee, un syst\u00e8me logiciel gr\u00e2ce auquel les chercheurs pourront convertir les donn\u00e9es brutes de s\u00e9quen\u00e7age de bact\u00e9ries en assemblages pang\u00e9nomiques de haute qualit\u00e9, hautement d\u00e9crits et faciles \u00e0 interpr\u00e9ter (autrement dit, des recettes de la vie microbienne).
