L\u2019initiative One Health (une seule sant\u00e9) reconna\u00eet que la sant\u00e9 des humains, des animaux et de l\u2019environnement est \u00e9troitement li\u00e9e et qu\u2019il faut une approche collective pour d\u00e9tecter les \u00e9closions, y r\u00e9agir et les pr\u00e9venir efficacement. La g\u00e9nomique a transform\u00e9 la d\u00e9tection et la caract\u00e9risation des agents pathog\u00e8nes, acc\u00e9l\u00e9r\u00e9 la mise au point de tests diagnostiques et de vaccins et accru nos connaissances sur ces agents pathog\u00e8nes. L\u2019utilisation des donn\u00e9es g\u00e9nomiques pour la surveillance en temps r\u00e9el chez nos partenaires est cependant difficile en raison de l\u2019information contextuelle peu uniforme associ\u00e9e aux \u00e9chantillons g\u00e9nomiques, du manque de plateforme de confiance et s\u00e9curis\u00e9e pour le partage des donn\u00e9es et de l\u2019insuffisance des outils pour les analyses g\u00e9nomiques localis\u00e9es et collaboratives. William Hsiao, Ph. D., de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de la Colombie-Britannique et du BC Centre for Disease Control Public Health Laboratory et Gary Van Domselaar, Ph. D. de l\u2019Agence de la sant\u00e9 publique du Canada cr\u00e9ent de nouvelles plateformes de partage des donn\u00e9es et des outils de traitement des donn\u00e9es pour permettre le partage en temps r\u00e9el des donn\u00e9es entre plusieurs instances, ce qui permettra aux chercheurs de diff\u00e9rents domaines \u2013 et aux logiciels qu\u2019ils utilisent \u2013 de communiquer l\u2019information plus rapidement, avec plus d\u2019exactitude et en toute s\u00e9curit\u00e9. Trois centres canadiens de collaboration et des partenaires internationaux mettront \u00e0 l\u2019essai les outils pour s\u2019assurer de leur pertinence et de leur utilit\u00e9. Les outils logiciels mis au point dans le cadre de cette collaboration visent \u00e0 transformer les modes de partage et d\u2019analyse des donn\u00e9es sur les maladies infectieuses, ce qui m\u00e8nera \u00e0 une meilleure surveillance de l\u2019\u00e9mergence et de la propagation des agents pathog\u00e8nes dans la faune, les aliments et les animaux de boucherie, ainsi que dans l\u2019environnement, ce qui r\u00e9duira le fardeau des maladies, pr\u00e9viendra les embargos sur le commerce agroalimentaire et r\u00e9duira au minimum les rappels co\u00fbteux de produits alimentaires. Ils am\u00e9lioreront la communication entre les agences de la sant\u00e9 publique et les \u00e9tablissements agricoles et rehausseront la collaboration \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle provinciale, nationale et internationale.
