Dans le monde industrialis\u00e9, o\u00f9 les \u00e9pid\u00e9mies sont bien g\u00e9r\u00e9es, il devient de plus en plus difficile d\u2019identifier les poches restantes de transmission continue du VIH et du VHC, ce qui rend difficiles l\u2019atteinte et le d\u00e9passement de ces cibles. Pour faciliter leur atteinte, nous avons besoin de nouveaux outils bio-informatiques qui peuvent identifier les communaut\u00e9s \u00e0 haut risque d\u2019infection continue par le VIH et le VHC et \u00eatre utilis\u00e9s pour appuyer la mise en \u0153uvre des interventions de sant\u00e9 publique et des services de sant\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>La surveillance phylog\u00e9n\u00e9tique \u2013 soit la mobilisation de grandes bases de donn\u00e9es de s\u00e9quences \u00e0 croissance rapide \u2013 peut \u00eatre une solution pour identifier les grappes de VIH ou de VHC diagnostiqu\u00e9es en temps quasi r\u00e9el. L\u2019\u00e9laboration et la mise en \u0153uvre d\u2019un tel syst\u00e8me exigent \u00e9galement de nouveaux outils bio-informatiques qui faciliteront le partage des r\u00e9sultats des analyses avec les repr\u00e9sentants de la sant\u00e9 publique, tout en maintenant la confidentialit\u00e9 et la protection des renseignements personnels des patients. Il faudrait aussi que ces outils puissent profiter des donn\u00e9es de s\u00e9quen\u00e7age de la prochaine g\u00e9n\u00e9ration.<\/p>\n<p>Jeffrey B. Joy, Ph. D., et Julio S.G. Montaner, Ph. D., de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de la Colombie-Britannique \u00e9laborent et mettent en \u0153uvre un syst\u00e8me semblable. Il servira de plateforme nationale de surveillance phylog\u00e9n\u00e9tique en temps quasi r\u00e9el, capable d\u2019int\u00e9grer les donn\u00e9es de s\u00e9quen\u00e7age de la prochaine g\u00e9n\u00e9ration et sera associ\u00e9 \u00e0 des outils bio-informatiques pour pr\u00e9senter et distribuer en toute s\u00e9curit\u00e9 les r\u00e9sultats aux agences de la sant\u00e9 publique. L\u2019\u00e9quipe met au point de nouvelles m\u00e9thodes de surveillance des \u00e9pid\u00e9mies et des infections.
