Les prot\u00e9ines et les m\u00e9tabolites des petites mol\u00e9cules d\u00e9terminent le comportement des cellules, de sorte qu\u2019il est indispensable d\u2019identifier et de quantifier ces mol\u00e9cules pour comprendre l\u2019apparition de maladies et trouver les moyens de les pr\u00e9venir.<\/p>\n<p>La spectrom\u00e9trie de masse est devenue l\u2019outil de travail de pr\u00e9dilection en prot\u00e9omique et en m\u00e9tabolomique. Anne-Claude Gingras, Ph. D., du Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute et Hannes R\u00f6st, Ph. D., du Donnelly Centre for Cellular &amp; Biomolecular Research de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Toronto utilisent une technologie appel\u00e9e acquisition ind\u00e9pendante de donn\u00e9es ind\u00e9pendantes (DIA \u2013 Data-Independent Acquisition) au moyen de laquelle le spectrom\u00e8tre de masse identifie et quantifie syst\u00e9matiquement les prot\u00e9ines et les m\u00e9tabolites pr\u00e9sents dans un \u00e9chantillon. La technologie a montr\u00e9 qu\u2019elle pouvait am\u00e9liorer l\u2019exactitude quantitative, la reproductibilit\u00e9 et le rendement comparativement \u00e0 d\u2019autres m\u00e9thodes. Depuis son adoption, toutefois, elle n\u2019a \u00e9t\u00e9 appliqu\u00e9e qu\u2019\u00e0 des \u00e9tudes de petite envergure et dans un nombre relativement petit de laboratoires. Les limites de cette m\u00e9thode s\u2019expliquent par l\u2019absence de logiciels conviviaux qui permettraient une analyse \u00e9volutive des donn\u00e9es complexes produites par la recherche biom\u00e9dicale et m\u00e9dicale \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle.<\/p>\n<p>Le projet repose sur la solidit\u00e9 av\u00e9r\u00e9e de l\u2019\u00e9quipe en analyse des donn\u00e9es de cette technologie de l\u2019acquisition ind\u00e9pendante des donn\u00e9es et de la cr\u00e9ation de logiciels et l\u2019\u00e9quipe produira un ensemble int\u00e9gr\u00e9 d\u2019outils offerts aux termes d\u2019une licence d\u2019acc\u00e8s libre. Pour encourager l\u2019adoption de ces outils, de la documentation, des webinaires et des ateliers seront mis \u00e0 la disposition des utilisateurs potentiels.
