Les d\u00e9cisions sont souvent fond\u00e9es sur la pr\u00e9sence et la quantit\u00e9 de biomarqueurs tels que des prot\u00e9ines dans des \u00e9chantillons de sang ou de tissu.<\/p>\n<p>Les progr\u00e8s des instruments de spectrom\u00e9trie de masse ont permis de d\u00e9couvrir et de mesurer des biomarqueurs prot\u00e9iques, mais les chercheurs n\u2019ont pas les logiciels bio-informatiques n\u00e9cessaires pour analyser les donn\u00e9es. Bin Ma, Ph. D., de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Waterloo et Michael Moran, Ph. D., de l\u2019Hospital for Sick Children mettent au point un logiciel qui permettra d\u2019identifier et de quantifier avec plus de pr\u00e9cision et d\u2019exactitude les donn\u00e9es de la spectrom\u00e9trie de masse produites au moyen d\u2019une m\u00e9thode appel\u00e9e acquisition ind\u00e9pendante des donn\u00e9es (DIA \u2013 Data-independent Acquisition). Les chercheurs esp\u00e8rent que leur logiciel accro\u00eetra de beaucoup le nombre total de prot\u00e9ines identifi\u00e9es et quantifi\u00e9es comparativement au logiciel d\u2019analyse existant de l\u2019acquisition ind\u00e9pendante des donn\u00e9es. Leur logiciel sera tout particuli\u00e8rement efficace pour les modifications post-translationnelles qui sont des biomarqueurs indispensables dans la fonction et la d\u00e9gradation d\u2019une prot\u00e9ine.<\/p>\n<p>Le libre acc\u00e8s au logiciel pour les laboratoires universitaires, tout comme son rendement sup\u00e9rieur, peut aider les chercheurs en sant\u00e9 \u00e0 d\u00e9couvrir et \u00e0 suivre les biomarqueurs de la maladie. Au cours de la prochaine d\u00e9cennie, le logiciel pourrait devenir un outil indispensable dans de nombreux laboratoires de prot\u00e9omique qui effectuent des analyses \u00e0 l\u2019aide de l\u2019acquisition ind\u00e9pendante des donn\u00e9es partout dans le monde.
