Les ensembles de donn\u00e9es obtenus permettent aux chercheurs de d\u00e9terminer comment diff\u00e9rents v\u00e9g\u00e9taux se d\u00e9veloppent et r\u00e9agissent aux changements dans leur environnement. Toutefois, pour profiter de l\u2019\u00e9norme quantit\u00e9 de nouvelles donn\u00e9es, il faut des outils novateurs pour int\u00e9grer et visualiser le nombre de points de donn\u00e9es individuels dans diff\u00e9rents ensembles de donn\u00e9es. Le syst\u00e8me original ePlant, mis au point dans le cadre d\u2019un projet pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent de G\u00e9nome Canada, int\u00e8gre de nombreux types de donn\u00e9es, mais il n\u2019\u00e9tait pas configur\u00e9 pour les donn\u00e9es ph\u00e9notypiques. Parmi leurs multiples applications, les donn\u00e9es ph\u00e9notypiques fournissent des renseignements importants sur les caract\u00e9ristiques qui int\u00e9ressent surtout les phytog\u00e9n\u00e9ticiens.<\/p>\n<p>Nicholas Provart, Ph. D., de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Toronto et J\u00f6rg Bohlmann, Ph. D. de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de la Colombie-Britannique mettent au point un nouveau module pour int\u00e9grer dans ePlant la grande diversit\u00e9 des donn\u00e9es disponibles, y compris les donn\u00e9es \u00e9cosyst\u00e9miques, les ph\u00e9notypes et les g\u00e9notypes. Leurs travaux s\u2019appliqueront aux esp\u00e8ces d\u00e9j\u00e0 existantes dans ePlant et \u00e0 toute nouvelle esp\u00e8ce qui y sera ajout\u00e9e dans le cadre du pr\u00e9sent projet. Les chercheurs ouvriront aussi le syst\u00e8me ePlant \u00e0 la communaut\u00e9 des chercheurs pour constituer un \u00e9cosyst\u00e8me plus large de donn\u00e9es.
