L\u2019attention \u00e0 la propret\u00e9 et \u00e0 la d\u00e9sinfection des surfaces joue un r\u00f4le important dans la r\u00e9duction des infections nosocomiales. Il a toujours \u00e9t\u00e9 cependant difficile de mesurer l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 du nettoyage et d\u2019am\u00e9liorer vraiment les pratiques. Il faut de toute \u00e9vidence un syst\u00e8me capable d\u2019identifier les bact\u00e9ries et les virus \u00e0 l\u2019origine de maladies infectieuses sur les surfaces.<\/p>\n<p>Charlotte Products Ltd. (CPL), une entreprise familiale canadienne, a mis au point un syst\u00e8me de surveillance environnementale et une technologie de capteur optique appel\u00e9e Optisolve Pathfinder\u00aeMC pour compl\u00e9ter sa gamme de produits de nettoyage novateurs et prim\u00e9s. Shana Kelley, Ph. D., collabore avec l\u2019entreprise pour perfectionner encore plus l\u2019offre d\u2019OptiSolve afin que l\u2019appareil puisse reconna\u00eetre et identifier des agents pathog\u00e8nes sp\u00e9cifiques.<\/p>\n<p>Mme Kelley et son \u00e9quipe combineront des nanomat\u00e9riaux nouveaux et une approche g\u00e9nomique pour identifier avec pr\u00e9cision des agents pathog\u00e8nes \u00e0 l\u2019origine d\u2019infections nosocomiales. La technologie qui en r\u00e9sultera, Optisolve Insight, permettra aux centres hospitaliers de soins de longue dur\u00e9e et autres \u00e9tablissements de d\u00e9tecter et d\u2019identifier plus rapidement des agents infectieux tels que le staphylococcus aureus r\u00e9sistant \u00e0 la m\u00e9thicilline (SARM), la bact\u00e9rie C. difficile et l\u2019influenza, ce qui am\u00e9liorera par cons\u00e9quent la pr\u00e9vention proactive et la rapidit\u00e9 des interventions.<\/p>\n<p>Le service et la technologie r\u00e9duiront consid\u00e9rablement les infections nosocomiales tout en permettant aux services de protection de l\u2019environnement et aux gestionnaires de PCI Canada d\u2019\u00e9viter d\u2019adopter l\u2019approche du \u00ab pire des sc\u00e9narios \u00bb lorsqu\u2019il y a des flamb\u00e9es d\u2019infections, ce qui peut comprendre des fermetures de lits et l\u2019annulation d\u2019interventions. Il en r\u00e9sultera une meilleure sant\u00e9 des patients, des r\u00e9sidents, du personnel et des visiteurs, de m\u00eame que des \u00e9conomies dans les soins de sant\u00e9.
