Cependant, l\u2019un des principaux d\u00e9fis sanitaires de cette industrie est le pou du poisson, lequel limite la croissance de l\u2019industrie et compromet la durabilit\u00e9. Les infestations de poux sont l\u2019un des plus gros probl\u00e8mes de l\u2019\u00e9levage du saumon aujourd\u2019hui, co\u00fbtant aux producteurs jusqu\u2019\u00e0 150&nbsp;dollars canadiens par tonne produite chaque ann\u00e9e en pertes et traitements. En 2017, la Newfoundland Aquaculture Industry Association (NAIA), par le biais de consultations avec l\u2019industrie, a indiqu\u00e9 que les strat\u00e9gies de lutte int\u00e9gr\u00e9e contre le pou du poisson \u00e9taient la grande priorit\u00e9 de l\u2019industrie pour le secteur de la salmoniculture \u00e0 T.-N.-L. Une strat\u00e9gie efficace de lutte contre les poux de mer fait intervenir des poissons nettoyeurs, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire des lompes (Cyclopterus lumpus) et des tanches-tautogues (Tautogolabrus adsperus). L\u2019utilisation de poissons nettoyeurs a \u00e9t\u00e9 jug\u00e9e hautement prioritaire par toutes les entreprises de p\u00eache au saumon de T.-N.-L.&nbsp;: Cooke Aquaculture Inc, Northern Harvest Seafarms Limited, Grieg N.L. et Marine Harvest Atlantic Canada. L\u2019utilisation de poissons nettoyeurs est int\u00e9ressante parce qu\u2019ils r\u00e9duisent l\u2019utilisation de produits chimioth\u00e9rapeutiques et sont moins stressants pour les poissons. Le nombre de poissons nettoyeurs utilis\u00e9s par l\u2019industrie mondiale de la salmoniculture a augment\u00e9 de mani\u00e8re exponentielle depuis 2008. On estime qu\u2019il faudra 50&nbsp;millions de poissons nettoyeurs d\u2019ici 2020. La production commerciale de poissons nettoyeurs est une industrie \u00e9mergente qui a le potentiel de g\u00e9n\u00e9rer de nombreux nouveaux emplois. Le centre d\u2019\u00e9tudes oc\u00e9aniques Ocean Sciences Centre du Memorial University est le premier centre de recherche et d\u00e9veloppement de poisson nettoyer en Am\u00e9rique du Nord.&amp;D facility. However, industrial production faces challenges due to the lack of knowledge about the biology of these fish species, limiting the rapid growth of this emerging industry. Susceptibility of lumpfish and cunner to bacterial infectious diseases, lack of a vaccination program, and lack of broodstock production programs, are the major challenges facing cleaner fish production for use in aquaculture biocontrol. C. lumpus and T. adspersus are on the list of the 100 fish gold standard genomes to be sequenced, and the sequence of these fish will contribute to fundamental biodiversity knowledge, and fill a critical gap in fundamental knowledge that will allow the development of specific vaccination programs and accelerate commercial production of an emergent aquaculture sector. In this proposed research, we will sequence the whole genome of C. lumpus and T. adspersus and profile the global gene expression response to vaccination and bacterial infection. The specific objectives are to: i) sequence the genomes of C. lumpus and T. adspersus; Recherche et d\u00e9veloppement ii)&nbsp;mettre au point un mod\u00e8le d\u2019infection bact\u00e9rienne par cohabitation et \u00e9tablir le profil de l\u2019expression g\u00e9n\u00e9tique de C.&nbsp;lumpus et T.&nbsp;adspersus infect\u00e9s et iii)&nbsp;\u00e9tablir le profil de l\u2019expression g\u00e9n\u00e9tique de C.&nbsp;lumpus et T.&nbsp;adspersus vaccin\u00e9s et \u00e9valuer l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 du vaccin commercial et am\u00e9lior\u00e9 (en interne).
