Les cultivars actuels de cannabis ne poss\u00e8dent toutefois pas de nombreuses caract\u00e9ristiques agronomiques souhaitables, notamment la r\u00e9sistance \u00e0 l\u2019infection par l\u2019o\u00efdium, et sont mal adapt\u00e9s \u00e0 la production \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle n\u00e9cessaire pour r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 ce march\u00e9 en croissance. L\u2019\u00e9quipe du projet cr\u00e9era une ressource g\u00e9nomique qui lui permettra d\u2019\u00e9valuer les niveaux de sensibilit\u00e9 et de r\u00e9sistance \u00e0 l\u2019o\u00efdium dans le germoplasme du cannabis et de commencer \u00e0 introduire la r\u00e9sistance \u00e0 l\u2019o\u00efdium dans le programme de s\u00e9lection d\u2019Aurora. L\u2019am\u00e9lioration des cultivars de cannabis entra\u00eenera par une diminution des pertes attribuables \u00e0 la contamination d\u2019agents pathog\u00e8nes et une augmentation de la qualit\u00e9 du produit. La fili\u00e8re de s\u00e9lection elle-m\u00eame sera \u00e9galement utilis\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019avenir pour cibler d\u2019autres caract\u00e9ristiques importantes de production et de valeur sup\u00e9rieure et les int\u00e9grer aux cultivars de cannabis offrant un rendement agronomique sup\u00e9rieur, ce qui permettra \u00e0 Aurora non seulement de faire cro\u00eetre ses revenus au-del\u00e0 de 1\u00a0milliard de dollars, mais \u00e9galement de produire un approvisionnement s\u00fbr de cannabis m\u00e9dicinal pour les Canadiens.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On pr\u00e9voit que le cannabis deviendra l\u2019une des plus importantes cultures au Canada au cours de la prochaine d\u00e9cennie.
