Finance and Accounting Officer
Nicky Nguyen oversees Genome Canada’s general accounting operations to ensure compliance with accounting principles, external audits and, ultimately, the development and implementation of financial policies.
She has more than five years’ experience in the not-for-profit sector as an accountant focusing on internal accounting, payroll, periodic reporting and forecasting. Previously, she was an accountant with the Ottawa-Carleton Association for Persons with Developmental Disabilities, where she maintained financial records and ensured the proper recording of operations.
Nicky is a candidate for the chartered professional accountant (CPA) designation. She holds an advanced diploma in professional accounting from Algonquin College and a B.A. from Hanoi University in Vietnam.
