Director, Governance and Planning
Jillian McGivern supports Genome Canada’s strategic and organizational planning processes, working closely with the President and CEO to identify and execute on priorities. She also oversees the administrative team—ensuring that corporate support is streamlined and coordinated across departments—and oversees travel, event and meeting logistics.
As the primary contact for Genome Canada’s Board of Directors, Jillian coordinates the onboarding processes for new directors, prepares material for Board meetings and maintains Genome Canada’s governance policies and documents.
Jillian initially joined Genome Canada as a research analyst in 2017 and managed key initiatives in precision health and population cohorts.
Jillian has an M.Sc. in health, science, technology and policy from Carleton University and a B.A. (Honours) in sociology from McGill University.
