Laurie Andresen manages, evaluates and delivers Genome Canada’s Applications Partnership Program, ensuring that collaborations between researchers, organizations, funders and stakeholders run smoothly so that the program’s R&D projects have the best chance of addressing real-world genomics challenges and opportunities.
Laurie brings a long track record of successfully managing a variety of programs and services to her role. Before joining Genome Canada, she was a Food Science Advisor with Sevita International, a company that supplies food-grade soybean to food and beverage manufacturers and certified seed to farmers. Prior to that, she supported military families stationed overseas as a Community Services Manager in the UK. Earlier in her career, she managed client services for Exova Canada Inc. in Edmonton.
Laurie has an M.Sc. in analytical chemistry and a B.Sc. in biomolecular chemistry from Queen’s University, and is an accredited Project Management Professional.
