New investments in interdisciplinary research will help strengthen knowledge, inform decision-making and support innovation across the Canadian North.
Genome Canada is partnering with ArcticNet and the Ocean Tracking Network to support interdisciplinary research focused on energy, infrastructure, ecosystems, and observing and monitoring across the Canadian North. The program will advance world-class science that responds to national and Indigenous priorities, help train the next generation of Arctic scientists and Indigenous researchers, and strengthen Canada’s leadership in Arctic and northern research. By bringing together complementary expertise, infrastructure and regional knowledge, the collaboration will strengthen Canada’s capacity to address northern challenges and opportunities through research and innovation.
