The renewed support from the Government of Canada will strengthen Genome Canada’s network of leading genomics researchers

Genome Canada is thrilled to receive a renewed federal investment of $100.5 million in funding for genomics as part of Budget 2019. The investment will enhance Genome Canada’s ability to advance the most cutting-edge developments in genomics research and applications of pressing interest to Canada and the world. The five-year federal commitment will allow Genome Canada to leverage each dollar through co-funding mechanisms with provinces, industry and not-for-profit partners, and international collaborators.
