Genome Canada is pleased to announce the appointment of four new members to its Board of Directors, bringing expertise that reflects the organization’s continued growth and ambition to deliver mission-driven impact through research and innovation.
Collectively, the new appointments strengthen Genome Canada’s capabilities in commercialization, governance, data stewardship, finance, technology and innovation leadership.
Kristin Baetz has also been appointed Chair of Genome Canada’s Science and Industry Advisory Committee (SIAC), which brings together scientific and industry leaders to help guide Genome Canada’s investments and priorities, ensuring Canada remains at the forefront of genomics innovation and its real-world application.
Genome Canada also extends its gratitude to Cami Ryan, who has completed her term on the Board and SIAC. Ryan served on SIAC since 2018, becoming SIAC Chair and an ex officio Board member in 2024. Through her leadership, she helped advance Genome Canada’s focus on impact, strengthening the organization’s commitment to ensuring genomics research delivers tangible benefits for Canadians.
